How to trust an (this) extension?

Improvedtube was tested and appreciated millions of times since 2012. Our mission and focus are to save your time and increase your happiness. Thats enough. Unlike others, Improvedtube is available without unnecessary permissions. (When an extension runs locally, without uploading data, then it can't "spy" on users automatically, even if it got the permissions "Access all sites" or to access all browsing History. However this is often considered suspicious because it's unspecific and rarely a requirment. And uploading data itself / "content security policy" is not yet indicated as a permission by Google Chrome Browser (as of 2020). So, watching the manifest.json file, you won't know.) Why does the extension need access to all YouTube sites and

With our latest update, we now support YouTube Gaming along with the normal YouTube site. That is why the extension now says it needs access to "All" YouTube sites. As for, we need to verify that users who have purchased our extension are using valid product keys. We also have it so when you contact support very basic, non personal information is also sent so we can fix issues quickly without having users go through extra steps to send us this information.
